Are you hungry? Do you like Chicken?

    NANDOS!

First, second, and third visits to Nandos were all at this St Enoch Centre location, quickly seated each time with only a ten minute wait on the second occasion.

The chicken is great and upon asking the Ingredients of the marinades (allergic to Mayo) I was promptly presented with the entire allergens book which listed all ingredients for each different type of sauce and marinade. upon discovering which I could eat (almost all) I chose lemon and herb (and have done on each subsequent visit) which was absolutely brilliant, i am not one for overly spicy foods so this was great.

The chips, both plain and peri-peri and good accompaniments along with the corn and garlic bread.

Recommendations are for the boneless chicken thighs, the dark meat is my favourite so this is always a winner for me.

I'm still really diggin' this place!  It's a simple solution to being hungry and there's something really, for everyone.

My most recent trip here was with Sophie K during a much needed girls day out.  We had been walking around the city centre since 10am and were in desperate need of food.  Quick on my feet, I suggested Nando's as it was within a short walking distance to where we were shopping.

I was quite surprised to be seated almost immediately as this particular location is always quite busy.  We were sat among the crowd of teenagers on summer holiday and miserable looking couples who spoke not a single word their whole lunch.  Looking over the menu, I had the task of ordering something I've never ordered and at Nando's it's super simple to get chicken without dressing, wedges without salt and salads without dressing.  I was blown away by that seeing as now days most restaurants pre make their meals before hand, or simply used packaged ingredients.  Gold star for Nando's.

I ended up ordering the quarter chicken, sweet potato wedges and a side salad.  The wedges came with a wee tub of mixed seeds which was a nice touch. I was happy!

The staff, as always are helpful and cheerful, which makes the experience all the better

Nando's is a sure hit in my circle of friends, and we'll be back always for sure.

So Nando's! It seems to be a fad that has never gone away. I don't understand stand it. Is it fast food? You order your food at the counter but it gets brought to your table? Self service drinks? Get your own cutlery!  What are you trying to be!

I'm not mad about chicken I really could take it or leave it but when the majority of the food on the menu is chicken (not done in an exciting way) what you gotta do! So I embraced it! A chicken wrap please and peri chip! I must admit one oft stars go to the chips. Halfway through the meal a server came over to ask of our meal was ok. I wasn't expecting that!

You can help yourself to as much sauce as you like different types hot very hot and Garlic.

The place was packed with teenagers on dates and fitness freaks to scared to eat proper fast food, I'm not convinced it's a healthy options either.

One thing I would say the staff are super friendly and really eager to help but apart from that and the chips....it's not for me!

I've never done the whole Nando's thing. I've seen people going on and on about being addicted to it, and following a host of footballers on Twitter, it seems to be ever growing in popularity.

This lunch time, myself and my ever suffering girlfriend bit the bullet and went.

I have to say... I don't think I ever need to go again.

The staff, it has to be said, are exempt from what may turn into a long diatribe against the blandness that is a soulless chain restaurant franchise - every person we encountered in here was perfectly pleasant, and just the right mix of helpful and cheery without being pushy.

The food though... the food. I don't know if it's just me, but it was all a bit... bland. The chicken burgers we both had were perfectly fine, but a little bland. If it wasn't for the sauce, you could have been mistaken for thinking it was a zinger burger, as Wendy pointed out. The tomato on her burger was discarded and described as the most tasteless tomato she'd ever had. As we all know, I don't touch salad as it's the tool of the Devil himself.

The much vaunted peri peri chips were fine, if just some normal chips that seem to be normal, frozen chips dusted with some spicy salt. It seemed to be a pattern, that taste was a secondary concern compared to heat.

Wendy's corn on the cob side was fine and really juicy, as I was covered with corn and butter juice from across the table when she bit into it. It was like a low budget family friendly version of Something About Mary for a moment... I had garlic bread as a side, and it was... guess what? fine.

Fine. A word that sums up Nando's for me. It's not the worst food I've had, but it's nowhere near the best. There's tons of independent local eateries you could go to in Glasgow, spend less than you do here (£22 for two lunches and two drinks?) and have something fresh, tasty and easily more filling.

I don't get the Nando's fixation or fad. I may be the sole, dissenting voice in their never ending quest to dominate the high streets of our country - but having been here once, I think that's enough for me. Colour me disappointed.

Nandos has become the pizza hut of chicken. Kicking good old KFC to the curb.
The chicken is nice with a good range of flavours and spices to pick along with a few chosen sides.
Nandos is nice. It is what it is. There is nothing spectacular about the food or the service. It's just nice.  No complaints with that.
